The installation of the northern wall murals has been completed, showing the feasts of the Transfiguration and the entry of the Lord into Jerusalem. Antonina Ganin is the iconographer. In the last week of May, she was helped by many people including her husband Michael, Andrei and Varia Davidoff, Greg Uskhopov with his son Joseph, Kosta Diakoumakos (providing the scaffolding) and helped by Nick Mantis, Stepan Kichakov, Alexey and Rostislav K., Valery W. (who also helped with the installation and washing of windows). Luba Cowall (as she often does) provided the necessary food and refreshments for all the workers. The eastern and southern walls are expected to be completed early in the new year.

A thank you for members of the Sisterhood and helpers was held at the Church Hall on the Sunday of the Myrhh-bearing women (a traditional day for thanking the sisterhood).

Letter from a nearby neighbour (April 12)

I hear the bells chiming. Could we please hear them every evening? It is important to tune into such resonance as it imparts another depth of life that is missing from the material world. No one knows exactly what such resonance conveys – but it does- we can hear it and tune in – it is meaningful.
