In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit!
Today we have two readings that give us edification concerning inevitable trials. First, we have the reading from 1st Epistle to Corinthians, Chapter 3 where St Paul writes about how we build the work of our salvation and using different materials: some use precious stones, others – straw. Our work will be tested by fire and of course, straw will burn, but what is comforting, he says: “… but the person will be saved even though as if is from fire.”
